Canet en Roussillon to Marseille

The first passage was a rough one. 120 miles straight across the Golf de Lion. Even though we waited till the weather calmed down it was still rough with 2-3 metres waves with a rather lumpy motion. It was also freezing cold the combination of this with my BP medication which was making me nauseous caused me to christen the stern with my breakfast later that day. Alex Deegan, the pro skipper I had hired to help me with the boat was brilliant and took the brunt of the night watches. The boat is a dream to sail. Fast and easy to handle. At one point we were making 8.5 kts on a beam reach.

On arriving at Marseille we found that the marina we had chosen was full, so we had to motor across the bay to the Isle de Frioul, which was a delightful place with a super marine, restaurants and even a roman temple!
